This project has now moved into Phase 2. It is focused on putting the validated recommendations into practice by updating the Auslan, Interpreting and Translating qualifications in accordance with the Training Package Organising Framework.

Update #8: Public Consultation Video #2
This is an update on the Auslan, Interpreting and Translating Qualification Review project. We are pleased to announce that Public Consultation has commenced.
Public Consultation will take place in two rounds and will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to review the draft training products and provide feedback on the proposed changes.
The first round of consultation has begun (14 September to 02 October).
During this consultation period, stakeholders will be able to:
- Review the updated draft training products online
- Provide written feedback by
- Attend one of two virtual consultation sessions

After the first round of consultation, the Technical Committee and Auslan Educators Group will discuss the feedback received. Feedback from the first round of consultation will be used to further refine the training products.
The second round of consultation will begin in November.
During this stage, updated draft training products will be released for further review and feedback. Consultation activities will include:
- In-person consultation workshops in each state and territory capital city with Auslan as a first language
- Additional virtual consultation sessions for those unable to attend in person.
- Opportunities to provide written feedback
Following consultation, the Technical Committee and Auslan Educators Group will discuss the feedback received and the way forward.
